Ken Brown brings thirty-nine years experience of customer service to life with his unique belief that a customer is more than just a number. From his early days as a boy making and selling God-eyes at the local Gibson grocery store on weekends in Seminole and Shawnee Oklahoma. He greeted his potential buyer with a smile and a firm handshake. Thirty-nine years later, even though technology has changed, his philosophy has not. Treat people with dignity and respect and give them nothing less than the best. His ideas and innovations have brought him success in business with each successive endeavor he has undertaken. He began writing songs as a young man and made an album of songs he wrote and sung and then promoted and distributed them to record stores in Oklahoma and Texas. In 1990, he created a concept to take to fairs and festivals with the Original Cheesecake Sundae. With his ingenuity and creative mindset, he took the idea and presented it to the State Fair of Oklahoma in 1991, which gave him a platform to sell his creation. He continued adding the cheesecake to fairs and festivals in other cities and states. After four years of traveling with his wife, he decided to settle in one place with his family and sold the business. This did not stop his spirit of entrepreneurship. While working in the heat, air, and appliance industry, in 1999, he started KHM Services in Dallas, Texas and began working with Lowe’s Home Improvement and individual customers installing appliances and heat and air units. In 2003, he moved with his family to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and worked at Tinker Air Force Base repairing and installing heat and air units. While there, he founded and co-invented the E-Cap, a vent cover for PVC pipes. He was able to secure an investor, successfully marketed the E-Cap to the base, and has continued to successfully market and sell to various heat and air, plumbing, radon, and roofing industry leaders, along with retail sales to individual customers. Never forgetting his abilities as an artist, however, in 2009, he co-authored the fiction book, ‘Falling Apart’. As an independent author, he knew it would be hard to put out a book and get noticed with so many books in print and with competition fierce. After attempting various methods to push the book’s sales, he came up with the idea of an interactive program that would help people become interested in buying the book and reading it. He had previously created a video and game for the E-Cap, which had been successful in promoting the product, and took that concept further to promote the book. Using his experiences in marketing, selling, and creating, he started 4 Styles Enteractive Systems with his Enteractive Book Preview to help other authors, publishers, and companies to promote books for sale. Interest from companies to do interactive sales for products prompted him to add Power presentations and interactive product display programs to businesses with the use of graphics, sound, music, voice, and words. His ambitious and positive attitude has brought him many successes and he hopes to help many other people tobe successful and happy with the same smile, firm handshake, dignity and respect that he gave thirty-nine years ago.
Just little ol’ me. What do I do? If I could do anything, what would I do? I could jump from an airplane, ride a rollercoaster, drive a racecar, or take a trip to a far-off world. I could spend time with family, ride on a train, start a new business, or write a good book. So many things to do with my life, I can’t just choose one, so I will do much.
Tammy started out as a little girl with a goal in her mind to work with others so they could do things. She helped out other students when she went to school, deciding that she would be good at teaching and working with children. She took a detour though and started a family, worked with her husband, who had ambitious entrepreneur goals. They had many adventures and explored many things. They started businesses and with each successive one gained greater knowledge and experience. Throughout this journey, she decided it was time to go back to school and learn new technological skills. She had a great interest in computer technology, so she applied herself and gained an Associates Degree in Applied Science, Computer Science at Oklahoma City Community College. The route that she took was an interesting one. She had business experience with database creation, marketing and management experience running a flower shop, a cheesecake sundae store, and traveling to fairs and festivals. She worked in Information Services at a children’s hospital. This started her thinking of her goals as a child, to help others succeed. She was good at grammar. Reading was a passionate extracurricular activity. History was fascinating. Teaching seemed to be the best route to go. So she went back to school. Earning a Bachelor’s degree in History and Education at Oklahoma City University, she was encouraged to write a book by her mentor professor. Taking him at his words, she co-authored a book called ‘Falling Apart’. During this adventure, along with the innovative mind of her husband, Ken, she co-invented a vent cap for PVC pipes. Together, they created characters to help promote the product, called Pipey the Pipe, Bert BlueJay, Sneaky the Squirrel, and the hero Fit The Wonder Cap. She was the Creative Consultant, Editor, and Co-writer of the text. She brought in her skills in spelling, grammar, writing, editing, and the ability to take the imaginations and ideas of other people and bring them to life through words. Then, wanting to find new ways to promote and encourage people to read, she used what she learned teaching, going to school, and writing to start 4-Styles Enteractive Systems. So here she is doing what she loves most of all, to work with others so they can do things.
Stan Smith grew up drawing and creating. His natural artistic mind gave him a platform in creativity. He was always thinking of new creations to draw. He could talk to someone and then created something related to the conversation. He enjoyed and was excited to show his work. As computer technology evolved in the 1980’s so did his creative interest. He became highly interested in computers while attending high school in California during the mid 1980’s. In college, wanting to incorporate art and computer technology he took an AutoCad course, which was the only computer graphics course offered in the late 1980’s, and a few hours of traditional art classes. Frustrated with the lack of choices he decided to continue his computer art education on his own. After investing a few hundred dollars in hardware and software he spent most of the next few years honing his skills. Then, in the early 1990’s, he obtained a job with a government contractor where he headed up a new Computer Graphics department. There, he performed graphic work for everybody, from AT&T to the U.S. Air Force. For six months he was on loan to the FAA Center in Oklahoma City to rescue an over-budgeted and very overdue interactive training series. Stan’s passion involved anything to do with visual transfer of information. He enjoyed doing this in any number of ways including 3D Animation, Video Production, Print Media, Web, and even some Painting from time to time. He continued his journey looking for new ways to incorporate art, design, computer technology, and both visual and audio effects to create imaginative projects. For several years he has been freelancing and consulting on a number of design projects. His experience and passion make him a perfect match for 4 Styles Enter-Active Systems and their mission to improve information presentations.
